I pen, scribble,
Dabble my thoughts,
Sometimes like a gentle river,
Streamlined and calm,
But oft,
I taint you,
Flood you,
Like a cataclysmic deluge,
As if possessed,
I go on and on…
But muted you are,
Lending a patient ear,
Surrendering yourself,
To hear me out…
You are kind,
Kinder than you think,
Baring yourself,
You carry my baggage.
A lover, soulmate,
You mirror my soul,
And when I’m shattered,
You make me whole.
