Theme : I’m incomplete without you

In the vast galaxy with stars replete,

It’s your light that I always seek,

You’re the one who makes me complete.

 

I wax and wane, for the mortal eyes, a treat,

It’s a soulful language for you that I speak

You’re light years away, we never meet,

Though the chances are very bleak,

In the games we play, we never compete,

Connected we are in ways unique,

The Villanelle is known for its repeated lines and a refrain. It consists of five tercets and a quatrain (6 stanzas or 19 lines in total). The form is expressed this way:
