Recipe poem has nothing to do with food. It uses the structure of a recipe– title, ingredients, preparation time, duration, serving suggestions, instructions etc to describe abstract concepts like memories, love, friendship etc.

- SERVE : Finish your poem ensuring the flow is seamless. You may suggest ways to serve it too.
TOPIC : RECIPE TO MEND A BROKEN HEART
INGREDIENTS
Unsent letters – a pile
Unsaid words – a pinch
Sepia photographs – 10
love songs – at least 20
Dried rose petals – a few
Salty tears – a gallon or more
Any memorabilia for added flavour
Preparation Time : Dusk until twilight
Dosage : 2-3 bowls( be generous with the servings) , Maybe repeated every night until memories seem to fade
PROCEDURE
In a cauldron I saute the sepia pictures gilded with pretty you,
And sprinkle a dash of my unsaid words few,
Adding your broken trinket imparts immense flavor,
And playing the songs we loved renders a rosy color,
Pouring my salty tears, I stir it longingly,
’neath the sequined skies the love soup brews endlessly,
With impassioned pleas and bated breaths, I watch it simmer,
A spoonful of dried rose petals masks any taste bitter,
My enfeebled heart partakes the soulful soup and seeks solace in dreams featuring you,
Rereading the unsent letters I sculpt a lifetime of love in those moments few.
