To attempt the Alliterisen poetic style, it is important to be familiar with alliteration first. Alliteration is the repetition of the same letter sound across the start of several words in a sentence. Alliteration provides an element of music to speech, drawing the attention of readers and listeners. It also adds resonance while weaving the idea behind a literary piece. Eg: calm clouds, serene sea
Also, it is the sound of the letter and not just the letter which plays a role in an alliteration. For example, “thin thread” is an example of alliteration; however, “tiny thread” is not. Note the difference in sounds in both pairs.
Now coming to the poetic style ALLITERISEN
This is a form created by Udit Bhatia.
1) It is a simple seven-lined poem with a specific syllable pattern and two pairs of alliterations per line.
2) The syllable structure for the Alliterisen is as follows:
1st line- x syllables
2nd line- x+2 syllables
3rd line- x-1 syllables
4th line- (x+2)-1 syllables
5th line- x-2 syllables
6th line- (x+2)-2 syllables
7th line- x syllables
(x being the number of syllables you choose for your first line)
