I had sculpted the dusky sky every night,
Fervently looking for love
Among countless stars.
Thou wast the subliminal moon,
Illuminating my soul in soft refulgence…
I had meandered across fields several,
Hoping to find ambrosial flowers
that would seldom wilt.
Thou wast the aromatic potpourri
Wafting undying fragrance with every breath I took…
I had dived down the deepest trenches,
Sieving the ocean floor
For precious gems.
Thou wast the lustrous pearl
Dwelling inside a humble oyster
Gleaming my path from the naked shoreβ¦
I had journeyed across the entire earth,
Hopelessly seeking for the heart
That forever throbbed for me.
Finally it dawned β¦
Mon Amour! Thou wast the sylph next door
Who was yearning for me with bated breath day after day.
