Inspired by William Wordsworth’s ” I wandered lonely as cloud” poem
Like a free bird I wish to fly,
O’er the valleys, hills and seas,
Far across the azure sky,
Gliding with the wind and breeze.
Watching the sun rise at dawn,
I’d garner twigs to build my nest,
Hunt for prey in the busy morn,
Gaze at the setting sun in the west.
Chirping and singing songs with glee,
Beside a lake, atop a tree,
No worries, my shelter temp’rary,
But a flock of birds for company.
Is it my shriveled, o’er ripened face?
Freedom, my yearning soul does seek,
Oft I wonder as I count my days,
Would the soul fly, since my body’s weak?
