Feelings – a plethora of them lay inside my heart,

Each one wafted with the fragrance of my silent love for thee,
I hid them with an armored heart for too long,
There were times when I had wanted to convey them,
But stopped myself from uttering those candid words out of fear,
while waiting for the right time and the right place…
Days passed and so did months and years,
It is a thousand pities never to say what one feels,
‘Cause when I had finally mustered the courage to do so,
Thou was unable to hear the echo of a lover’s call,
Thou had waited too long for me shedding tears and left in vain,
My unsaid feelings sadly remained lost amidst the ocean’s depths.
