Silence – the language of love

by Gowri Bhargav

The poem contains the following quote;

If I loved you less,

I might be able to talk about it more.

                                Emma( Jane Austen)

*******

My love for thee is deeper than the oceans,

And it lies in the subliminal depths of my heart,

Thou make my heart throb incessantly,

And ignite my soul to breathe with life…

However, my muted lips fall short of words,

They oft dwell in silence

And don’t have words to express my love for thee,

But my love! Ne’er undermine silence,

Silence outweighs speech when it comes to love,

If I loved you less,

I might be able to talk about it more,

Hark! Let thy eyes meet my eloquent eyes to catch a glimpse of our love story.
