#The Significant League #day2
***
You may be different but sure are unique,
Sometimes loud, sometimes meek,
Timid at times but at times wild,
But my dear! You are still my child.
You seldom use words like all,
May not respond to all the calls,
With limited skills you still impress,
In my eyes you are never less.
For reasons unknown, you fail to obey,
Don’t pay attention to what I say,
Feelings- how you struggle to express,
With Mama here you don’t have to stress.
In the garden where roses bloom,
You are the rare blue rose who does illume,
Hold my hands, there’s nothing to fear,
Remember, amidst all the chaos, I love you dear.

This was written for the prompt ‘Blue Rose’ given by The Significant League group.
The color blue’s association to autism originated with the autism advocacy association known as Autism Speaks. Their “Light it Up Blue” campaign calls for people to wear blue to promote autism awareness. Blue is also the organization’s primary color, and is associated with a calm feeling and acceptance in an otherwise loud and busy world for people on the spectrum.
